75 members of the UK Parliament have signed an urgent motion, calling on the British government to take action against Israeli authorities over plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank and ongoing violations of international law.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the motion condemns an Israeli decision in February to legalize the confiscation of Palestinian lands and register them as state property, calling it illegal and as an attempt to expand land confiscations.

The document also refers to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice published in July 2024, which finds that the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories is illegal and calls for its immediate end.

British MPs call on the government to fulfill its international obligations, stopping any support that could contribute to the occupation and stopping the continuation trade related to settlements in occupied territories. /message
