Albanian students in North Macedonia have protested today, demanding that the jurisprudence exam be held in the Albanian language.
With Albanian flags and banners such as “Stop institutional discrimination”, the protesters expressed their dissatisfaction, stressing that the implementation of the law on languages must be fully respected by the institutions.
During the rally, calls were also heard such as “Don’t touch the Law on Languages!”, while the participants they demanded responsibility and resignation from the relevant authorities.
Regarding this development, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski also reacted, who called on students not, according to him, to fall prey to political influences from the opposition. He added that the Government has already engaged a group of constitutional experts to find a solution to this issue.
