Maritime traffic continues in the Strait of Hormuz, despite the US blockade

Vessel traffic continues through the Strait of Hormuz, while US naval forces are enforcing a blockade against Iranian restrictions on this strategic waterway, Anadolu reports.

Since the blockade began at 5:30 p.m. local time in Iran, 14 ships have entered the Persian Gulf and seven ships have exited the strait during this period.

A total of 21 ships have passed through. strait, while another 13 remained there until 13:00 GMT, according to statistics from relevant sources provided by Anadolu.

As of Tuesday, about 2,000 ships have been blocked on the Gulf side, while about 400 ships are waiting to enter the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz.

Data from “MarineTraffic” showed that even ships sanctioned by the US have passed through strait.

US naval forces have reportedly imposed a blockade along a line between the Gulf of Gwadar and Ras al Hadd, where heavy vessel traffic has continued since the start of the operation.

TankerTraffic claimed that some vessels are transmitting false Automatic Identification System (AIS) signals to hide their identity.
