Israeli attack kills 8 and injures dozens in southern Lebanon after ceasefire announced

Eight people were killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, minutes after US President Donald Trump announced a ten-day ceasefire between Beirut and Tel Aviv, Lebanese media reported, Anadolu reports.

Israeli warplanes struck the town of Ghazieh, south of Sidon, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported.

The Health Ministry said the attack killed eight people and injured 33 others.

The attack happened minutes after Trump said that Lebanon and Israel have agreed to a ten-day ceasefire starting at midnight Friday local time.
