On the occasion of International Labor Day, three protests have been announced by different organizations in Pristina, which will take place at different times and locations during the day.
According to official announcements, the first protest will be held by representatives of small businesses with the motto “Enough with discrimination!”, starting at 09:00 in front of the Municipality of Pristina and then continuing towards the Union Office.
Meanwhile, from 10:00, the Trade Union Federation of Private Sector Workers organizes a protest in Zahir Pajaziti Square, as part of marking this day.
Also, the Anti-Capitalist Assembly has announced its protest from 12:00, with the slogan “Your vote is ignored, your vote cannot”, but in the same square in Prishtina.
May 1 is known as International Labor Day. This manifestation was born from the struggle of workers to demand and secure their rights, freedoms and working and living conditions.
1 May is a holiday founded in memory of the martyrdom in “Haymarket” square and to commemorate and celebrate the International Workers’ Solidarity Day.
