Israeli forces made arrests during raids in occupied East Quds on Thursday, the Quds Governor said, Anadolu reports.
Israeli authorities also arrested a guard at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and released him later with conditions, including a seven-day ban from the Old City and a fine, while another guard was given a six-month ban from the mosque.
In the camp of Shuafat refugee camp northeast of Quds, Israeli forces attacked a Palestinian man as he tried to protect his disabled brother, who was detained for a short period and also subjected to abuse before being released, the governor said.
In Silwan, in the Al-Thawri neighborhood south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, shops were closed as Israeli forces and communal teams stormed the area, raised checkpoints and imposed fines against businesses and vehicles.
The governor of Quds said the violations are part of a systematic policy against Palestinians, including physical attacks, arrests, restrictions and economic pressure.
