The Basic Court in Prizren has rejected the request of the Prosecution for the appointment of the measure of detention against the five persons arrested in the action carried out in the Cadastral Agency of Kosovo and in several other locations.

Otherwise, the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina, through the Department for Serious Crimes – Unit for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, has today carried out an action in the Cadastral Agency of Kosovo and in several other locations.

The action was carried out based on the ordinance of the Basic Court in Pristina, within the framework of investigations into the criminal offenses “Misuse of official duty or official authority” and “Forgery of documents”.

According to the Prosecution, the suspects A.Q. and N.K., in cooperation and after prior agreement, are suspected of having used a forged document entitled “Real Estate Exchange Contract” from 1966, falsely presenting an exchange of properties for the purpose of illegal gain.

During the investigations, it is suspected that they, with the help of official A.B. at the Basic Court in Pristina, they presented the document as authentic and entered it into the official archives, although it did not exist in the official records. Also, A.B. is suspected of having created a fictitious file and enabled the legalization of the forged document.

Meanwhile, the officials B.Sh. and M.B. in the Cadastral Agency of Kosovo are suspected of having exceeded their powers and approved the complaint of the party N.K., obliging the Municipality of Pristina to register the property in his name.
