Vance: US not considering sending Iran’s enriched uranium to Russia

US Vice President JD Vance has stated that the US has never considered sending Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium to Russia, reports Anadolu.

“This is not currently part of our plan and has never been part of our plan. I have seen some reports about this. I don’t know where they are coming from, but the president will continue to negotiate a deal, so this is not currently part of the US government’s plan,” he said. Vance told reporters at the White House.

“The Iranians haven’t raised this issue. I don’t think it’s something the Iranians would be particularly interested in, and I know the president isn’t very interested in it either. But who knows, I’m not going to pre-commit to a negotiation on any particular issue,” he added.

Saudi state television network Al Hadath reported that an updated Iranian proposal to end the war envisages Tehran is ready “to transfer the enriched uranium to Russia instead of the USA, under certain conditions”.
