Kosovo customs has discovered a case of incorrect declaration of goods during the customs control in Prizren.

During the examination of an imported shipment, customs officials found a discrepancy between the customs declaration and the actual condition of the goods.

According to the official announcement, the goods were declared as candles, while after the physical inspection it was confirmed that they were fireworks.

In addition to the classification incorrect tariff, it has been established that a license for the import of explosive devices is also required for the goods in question, in accordance with the legislation in force.

According to preliminary estimates, the avoidance of customs and tax obligations as a result of the incorrect declaration amounts to more than 2500 euros.

Regarding the case, a procedure for customs offenses has been initiated according to the provisions of the Customs and Excise Code.
