Kosovo Customs has recorded a case of non-declaration of monetary means at the Border Point in Jarinje.
According to the announcement, during the control of a vehicle at the entrance of the Republic of Kosovo, customs officials asked the traveler if he possessed goods or monetary means to declare, but he stated that he had nothing to report.
However, after a detailed examination of the vehicle and personal belongings, monetary means were found undeclared in the total value of 10 thousand 173 euros and 60 cents, including euros and Serbian dinars. The money was scattered in different parts of the vehicle and on the person in question.
In accordance with the legal provisions in force, the case was processed by the competent units and an administrative fine was imposed on the person.
The Customs Investigation was also notified about the case, through which the State Prosecutor was informed, while the rest of the money remains prohibited until the end of the investigation.
Kosovo Customs reminds citizens and travelers that declaration of monetary means when entering or leaving the territory of the Republic of Kosovo is a legal obligation and non-compliance with these provisions brings administrative and legal consequences./
