International activists detained by Israeli forces during a humanitarian mission to Gaza have raised serious allegations of torture, rape and violations of basic rights while in custody in Israel.
According to the organizers of the “Global Sumud Flotilla”, some of the activists were hospitalized after their release, while at least 15 people have reported sexual assaults, including cases of rape.
The humanitarian flotilla, consisting of 50 ships with aid to Gaza, was stopped on Tuesday by Israeli forces in international waters. It is reported that at least 430 people were forcibly taken from the ships.
Organizers stated on Telegram that the activists were shot with rubber bullets at close range and many of them suffered broken bones.

Among those detained was the Italian economist Luca Luca Poggi, who told Reuters the moments of violence during the arrest.
“They stripped us, threw us on the ground and kicked us. Many of us were shocked with electric shocks, some were sexually assaulted and others were denied the right to a lawyer,” he declared.
Meanwhile, the Italian prosecutor’s office has launched investigations into possible crimes, including kidnapping, torture and sexual assaults against activists. of the flotilla.
