On the sidelines of the NATO ministerial meeting in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, Timco Mucunski, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Velislava Petrova, reports Anadolu.

In this regard, Mucunski has emphasized the need to find a solution to the bilateral issue that is hindering the process of opening negotiations with the European Union, confirming the government’s positions and stressing that topics related to Macedonian language, identity, culture and history cannot be the subject of discussion.
Special attention has been paid to the importance of Corridor 8 and the need to accelerate activities related to the opening of the Klepallo border point, as an important part of regional infrastructural and economic connectivity.
Minister Mucunski has also raised the issue of respecting the rights of the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria, emphasizing the need for sustainable implementation of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
