US President Donald Trump said he was “never interested in regime change” in Iran, adding that the US is dealing with “very rational people”, reports Anadolu.
Speaking to reporters in France, Trump said: “I’ve never been interested in regime change. It’s never been a part of this, but I think you have regime change because you know better than anyone.”
“I don’t believe in change.” of the regime, you know, they never work,” said the American president.
“The first group, they’re all dead. The second group, they’re dead, and we’re dealing with people who I think are very rational,” he said.
“I think they’re actually smarter than the first and second group, but they’re not radicalized and they’re looking to help their country,” he added. him.
Regarding a deal with Tehran, Trump said: “We have no obligation to invest any money in Iran,” adding: “We’re not investing any money. We have the right, if we want to, but we’re not investing any money.”
