A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 struck Davao Oriental province in the south of the Philippines today, reports Anadolu.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 67 kilometers east-southeast of Pondaguitan, offshore at 17:18 local time, the US Geological Survey (USGS) announced.
The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 111.9 kilometers. Meanwhile, there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Mindanao last week, causing widespread panic and causing extensive damage to homes, schools, hospitals and public infrastructure.
At least 61 people lost their lives as a result of the disaster, 40 others remain missing and more than 1,040 people are missing. others were injured.
