Kosovo Energy Corporation has announced that a worker lost his life at the workplace, after a serious accident.

Arbenit Ahmeti, while engaged in the transport and relocation of 6 kV cables, came into contact with the electric voltage and suffered serious injuries.

“Immediately after the incident, emergency actions were taken and the worker was sent for medical treatment to the Obiliq Ambulance. Despite the efforts of the staff medically, unfortunately he did not manage to survive the injuries received” says the announcement of the KEK.

It is with deep pain that we announce that today, during the performance of his work duties, the employee of the Energy Corporation of Kosovo, Arbenit Ahmeti, suffered a serious accident.

According to initial information, while engaged in the transport and relocation of 6 kV cables, he came into contact with the electric voltage and suffered serious injuries.

Immediately after the event, emergency actions were taken and the employee was sent for medical treatment to the Obiliqi Ambulance. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, unfortunately he did not manage to survive his injuries.

KEK expresses its sincere condolences to the Ahmeti family, relatives, colleagues and all those who knew the deceased.

The competent bodies are handling the case and the circumstances of the accident will be clarified in accordance with the relevant procedures.
