The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Peja has announced that the arrest is the result of intensive investigative actions developed in coordination with the Regional Directorate of Investigations in Peja. The suspect is being investigated for the criminal offenses “Manipulation of evidence” and “Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons”, according to the criminal legislation in force, reports Klankosova.tv.

The arrest was carried out by the Kosovo Police, while by order of the state prosecutor, the suspect was ordered to be detained for 48 hours.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor’s Office announces that a family member of the defendant is being investigated investigative actions for the criminal offense “Destruction, damage or removal of protective equipment and jeopardizing safety in the workplace”, according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, within the legal deadlines, all necessary procedural and investigative actions will be undertaken for the full clarification of the case and the determination of criminal responsibility, reports Klankosova.tv.

The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pejë has reiterated its commitment to the protection of the safety of workers at workplaces and the criminal prosecution of all persons responsible for violations that violate this safety.
