According to the data of the Statistics Agency of Kosovo (ASK), a total of 1 thousand and 124 enterprises were registered in Kosovo only during the month of April.

In April 2026 compared to the previous month, there is a decrease of 16.1% of registered enterprises. While compared to the same month of the previous year, we have a decrease of 1.7% of registered enterprises.

The most preferred economic activities during this month were: Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles with 274 (24.4%), Accommodation and food service activities with 144 (12.8%), Manufacturing with 108 (9.6%), Construction with 108 (9.6%), etc.

In the “Micro Enterprise” category (0 to 9 employees) there are a total of 1,118 registered enterprises, in the “Small Enterprise” category (10 to 49 employees) there are a total of 6 registered enterprises, in the “Medium Enterprise” category (50 to 249 employees) and in the “Large Enterprise” category (250+), there are no registered enterprises this month.

Regarding the geographical extent of registered enterprises at the regional level:

The region of Pristina leads with 550 registered enterprises (48.9%),

But during this month there were not only enterprises that were registered.

According to the data of ASK, during this month, in addition to new enterprises that were registered, there were also enterprises that were extinguished. According to KAS during the month of April, the number of enterprises extinguished according to regions and sections of economic activities was 107.
