Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu has said that the announcement of the competition for the election of the Chief State Prosecutor restores the possibility for an orderly and transparent process.

In a reaction on Facebook after the decision of the Prosecutorial Council to open the competition, she said that it is important that the process be carried out impartially and away from any political influence.

“It is important that the whole process be carried out in a manner impartial, reliable and away from any political influence or narrow interest, so that the most competent candidate with high professional integrity is elected at the head of the State Prosecutor’s Office. Citizens’ trust in the justice system is built precisely through fair, transparent and meritocracy-based processes,” Haxhiu wrote.
