The Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, hosted the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Izmir, Cemil Tugay, during his visit to the Republic of Kosovo.

According to Sveçla, during the meeting, the possibilities of advancing cooperation between Kosovo and Izmir were discussed, with a special focus on the field of security and the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation.

He also emphasized the importance of developing joint initiatives aimed at increasing the security and well-being of citizens.

“Within the excellent relations and special friendship that connects our country and the Municipality of Izmir, we discussed the possibilities of advancing cooperation, with a special focus on the field of security and strengthening cooperation between our institutions. We emphasized the importance of developing joint initiatives that contribute to increasing the security and well-being of citizens. Kosovo remains committed to further deepening of relations with our cities and peoples, in the spirit of friendship and mutual partnership”, he wrote on Facebook.
