The Regional Water Company “Prishtina” has announced that a total of 17 illegal connections in the water supply network have been discovered during inspections in several areas of the capital.
According to the company’s announcement, eight illegal connections have been identified in Hajvali, five in Bërnica and four in Llukar.
The KRU “Prishtina” has reacted strongly to this phenomenon, describing the situation as disturbing.
“What is happening is more than terrible”, says the company’s response.
The company emphasizes that illegal connections cause significant damage to the water supply system and affect the regular supply to customers who pay for the service.
“Illegal connections cause huge losses of water, damage the water supply network and directly affect the regular supply of customers who pay for the service”, it says announcement.
KRU “Prishtina” has announced that field checks will continue in the coming days, while it has warned that actions will be taken against all persons who carry out illegal logging, in accordance with the legislation in force.
“Controls will continue without interruption and against all persons who carry out illegal logging, the measures foreseen by law will be taken”, concludes the company’s announcement.
