The Minister of Industry, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, has announced that she has signed the decision to continue the protective measure for oil products used in transport, in order to protect consumers and ensure fair competition in the market.
According to the announcement, the decision was made on April 3, 2026 and came into effect on April 4. Based on the current data, the maximum allowed prices for derivatives have also been determined.
Oil, imported at 1.77 euros per liter, can be sold up to 1.91 euros per liter, while gasoline, imported at 1.30 euros per liter, can reach up to 1.44 euros per liter.
The decision also foresees restrictions on commercial margins, where wholesale sales are allowed up to 2 euro cents per liter, while retail up to 12 euro cents per liter.
The minister announced that the relevant institutions will increase supervision, including the Market Inspectorate, Kosovo Customs and the Tax Administration, in cooperation with the Competition Authority.
She has called on economic operators to respect this decision, warning punitive measures for any violation, including fines. retroactive
