The police carried out an action in Suharekë, where during a check in a house narcotic substances, weapons and other suspected dangerous tools were found and seized.

According to the Police announcement, on March 11, 2026, after receiving a written order from the Basic Court in Prizren, Kosovo Police investigators from the Directorate for the Investigation of Narcotics Trafficking conducted a search in the house where the suspect with the initials lived L. Sh. in Suharekë.

During the police control, approximately 178.72 grams of suspected narcotic substance of the marijuana type and 0.91 grams of suspected narcotic substance of the cocaine type were found and seized.

Also, the police also seized an automatic firearm (suspected of gas) of the BLOW/SWAT brand without a serial number with a magazine, 16 cartridges of 9 mm caliber, a roll aluminum foil and a mobile phone.

According to the police, during the search, four artificially prepared bottles, suspected of containing fuel with an ignition mechanism, were found. Cash in the amount of 350 euros and 60 Swiss francs was also seized at the scene, as well as a key to the door of the apartment.

Due to the dangerous tools found, the EOD unit of the police was called to the scene, which removed them for treatment and safe disposal.

By order of the supervising prosecutor of the Department for Serious Crimes, the suspect was assigned the measure of detention for 48 hours and he was sent to the detention center.

The case was initiated for criminal offenses under articles 267 and 366 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, while investigations are continuing by the Directorate for the Investigation of Narcotics Trafficking – Unit in Prizren.
