Paris Saint-Germain has started the new season in the best possible way, winning 2-1 against Aston Villa and winning the European Super Cup.

The French team gave a good performance and showed that they intend to remain protagonists in the next season as well. PSG broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored after a nice assist from Desire Doue.

In the 62nd minute, Desire Doue turned into PSG’s hero. The Frenchman took advantage of a counterattack and scored from close range. Initially, the goal was canceled for offside, but after the intervention of VAR, the decision was changed and the goal was awarded.

With this victory, PSG starts the season with an important trophy. Coach Luis Enrique has already made clear the team’s big objective: to repeat Real Madrid’s historic success and become only the second team to win the Champions League three times in a row.
