The Kosovo Security Force with a contingent from the Third Infantry Regiment with a mortar platoon is participating in the international exercise “Dynamic Front 26”, organized by the US Army for Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF).

The field exercise Dynamic Front is a multinational exercise that tests the interoperability of NATO and partner armies in the field of artillery and indirect fire. This year, the exercise was carried out in parallel in five countries: Germany, Romania, Poland, Spain and Turkey.

The KSF has landed in Germany, in the Grafenwöhr Training Area, with its logistical capacities, including vehicles, weaponry and ammunition.

The KSF contingent has operated attached to the 4-319th Regiment of the Field Artillery of the United States Army. The mortar platoon, with its constituent elements – Line of Fire, Fire Control Center and Forward Observers – as well as 120mm mortars, has fired on targets in coordination with the US Army and Italian Army troops.

During Field Exercise Dynamic Front 26, the KSF has demonstrated its experience in firing mortars during the day and at night, and has exchanged lessons and best practices with partner forces.

The FSK is proving its professionalism and discipline every day by interacting with partners for the benefit of peace and security.
