The Basic Court in Ferizaj announced a conviction against the defendant M.A., due to the criminal offenses of “child abuse or abandonment” and “slight bodily injury”. the court declared her guilty and sentenced her for the criminal offense of “child abuse or abandonment” with a prison sentence of eleven (11) years, which sentence will be executed after the finality of this judgment.

While for the criminal offense of “slight bodily injury”, the defendant was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of six months, which, with the consent of the defendant, was replaced by a sentence of fine in the amount of 6 thousand euros.

“Based on Article 76 paragraph 2 of the KPRK, the defendant was sentenced to a single sentence of imprisonment for a duration of eleven (11) months, in which sentence the time spent under house arrest will be counted, as well as a fine in the amount of six thousand (6,000.00) €. Also, in accordance with Article 63 paragraph 2 in connection with paragraph 1 of The KPRK of the defendant imposes an additional penalty of banning the exercise of the profession, activity or duty of an educator for a duration of five (5) years”, it was said in the court announcement, Klan Kosova reports.

According to the court, the defendant M.A. it is accused that on November 4, 2025 and November 5, 2025, “continuously, in the time interval from 09:00 to 14:30 in a kindergarten ‘M.’ in Ferizaj, the defendant misused her rights which she had as an educator, who was entrusted with the custody, education and care of the two 2-year-old children, that is, she intentionally mistreated them by used physical and mental measures, forcefully forcing them to sleep, pushing, pulling them by the hair and knocking the injured – children to the floor, with which action he continued to commit the criminal offense of child abuse or abandonment from article 243 paragraph 1 related to article 77 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo”.

“On November 5, 2025, in the time interval from 09:00 to 2:30 p.m. in Ferizaj, in a kindergarten ‘M.’ in Ferizaj, the defendant deliberately attacked one injured two-year-old child, i.e. a sensitive victim, who was entrusted to her care, education and care in such a way that she grabbed him by the hair and pulled him, damaging – pulling out his hair as well as damaging the skin on that part of his head, thus causing minor bodily injuries – condition after contusion (sprain) in head, injuries described in the medico-legal expert report dated November 25, 2025, with which action the criminal offense of slight bodily injury was committed from article 185 paragraph 1 under paragraph 3.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo”, the Court said.
