Kurti after the meeting with Kosovo: To advance Kosovo’s file for the status of a candidate country, the support for the EU in Kosovo is about 90%

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in a press conference together with the Commissioner for EU Enlargement, Marta Kos, has asked to speed up the process of advancing Kosovo’s application for the status of a candidate country in the European Union.

Kurti said that more than 40 months have passed since Kosovo’s application and that, according to him, it is time for the EU to move this process forward.

“We share common values with the EU and we are fully aligned with the EU’s foreign and security policy. We have joined all the sanctions against the Russian Federation.

He added that the current moment of EU enlargement should result in the advancement of Kosovo The EU stands at about 90% in our country and is among the highest among all the candidate countries. Finding unity within the EU to take decisions against Kosovo is a common task. The vacuum left by the EU is intended to be filled by other malicious actors, who endanger our common security.
