The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren has filed an indictment against B.J., due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of “Abuse of official position”, and against J.B., as an authorized representative of economic operators “M.B.G.” Sh.P.K and “A.P.” Sh.P.K., due to the well-founded suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense “Misuse and fraud in public procurement”.

According to the indictment, the defendant B.J., in the capacity of the official person and the supervisory body of the project “Construction of infrastructure in the village of Vlashnje, roads and public lighting”, during the period from August 2022 to August 16, 2024, using the duty and his official authority, deliberately exceeded his powers and acted in violation of the Law on Public Procurement, compiled fictitious reports and situations, in which it was presented that the works were carried out according to the contract, although according to the indictment, the situation on the ground was different.

Therefore, the prosecution says that as a result of these actions, payments were made in favor of the group of economic operators “M.B.G.” Sh.P.K and “A.P.” Sh.P.K, even though the works were not completed according to the signed contract.

Through these actions, material damage was caused to the Municipality of Prizren in the amount of 18,765.00 euros, while illegal property benefit to the economic operators in the same amount.

While, the defendant J.B., as an authorized representative of the economic operators “M.B.G.” Sh.P.K and “A.P.” Sh.P.K., in cooperation with the defendant B.J., has acted for the purpose of financial gain by violating the provisions and procedures of public procurement and the same does not implement the obligations arising from the contract.
