Erdogan telephone conversation with Trump, calls the shooting at the White House dinner a “hateful act”

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has had a phone call with the President of the USA, Donald Trump, reports Anadolu.

As the Directorate of Communications of Turkey announced in a post on the American social network X, during the conversation with Trump, Erdogan expressed concern about the shooting incident that happened at the White House correspondents’ dinner in Washington.

The Turkish President described the incident as a “heinous act against democracy and freedom of the press”, and wished a speedy recovery to the security officer injured in the incident.
