At least four Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip on Sunday as a result of Israeli army strikes, according to health officials in the territory.

Medics reported that an airstrike killed one person near the village of Al-Mughraqa in central Gaza, while two others were killed by gunfire and tank shelling near Gaza City.

In another incident, a 40-year-old woman was wounded. shot dead by Israeli forces in Khan Younis, south of the territory. The Israeli military said it was not aware of this attack at the time it was reported, but added that it was investigating other incidents.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it had struck and killed several Hamas militants in Gaza since Friday.
