Deputy Janina Ymeri has raised harsh criticism towards the government of Kosovo, claiming that citizens are being treated unequally in terms of the price of electricity.
According to her, in the northern municipalities of the country, where energy is supplied by “Elektroseveri”, electricity tariffs are up to 18.3 percent lower compared to the rest of Kosovo, where the majority of citizens live.
Ymeri has emphasized that this situation creates a visible disparity in monthly energy bills, adding that citizens in other parts of the country are paying more for the same service.
She has gone even further claiming that consumers in other parts of Kosovo are also covering the operating expenses of KEDS for the northern areas, calling this an injustice to taxpayers.
Her statements come at a time when the issue of electricity supply and tariffs remains one of the most discussed topics. country sensitive.
