The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development has opened the call for applications within the 2026 Direct Payments Program, inviting farmers and interested entities to apply within the established deadlines.
In the announcement it is noted that: “The Call for applications for the 2026 Direct Payments Program is open”, while the purpose of the scheme, according to the Ministry, is “to support agricultural production and rural development in the Republic of Kosovo”.
The Ministry announced that the application for this program starts on June 22, 2026 and ends on July 21, 2026 at 16:00, while the documentation is submitted to the municipal directorates for agriculture.
MBPZR says that the Direct Payments 2026 program has been redesigned in accordance with the policies of the European Union and includes four main components:
Basic payment per land area agricultural
Redistributive payments for small and young farmers
Payments related to production in priority sectors of livestock and agricultural crops
Eco-schemes for organic farming and sustainable practices
“After the application and before the field control is carried out, any changes related to the areas, number of animals, liters or kilograms declared must be reported to the Agency for the Development of Agriculture (AZHB) through the electronic address pd.azhb@rks-gov.net or by letter recorded in the archives of the AZHB.
The deadline for the notification of surface changes is July 30, 2026″, the announcement states.
The document also emphasizes that: “Documentation submitted after the specified deadline will not be accepted for review”.
For businesses and legal entities, the submission of basic documents is required as business registration certificate, evidence from TAK, confirmation of bank statements and a copy of the owner’s ID card.
Also, beneficiaries with support over 30,000 euros are obliged to apply as a business and register in the Financial Management Information System of Kosovo through e-Kosova.
At the end of the announcement, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the AZhB call on farmers to apply within the deadline and ensure the necessary documentation according to the relevant category of support.
