After an investigation developed through the application of covert investigation measures, the investigators of the Regional Department of Investigations within the framework of the Regional Police Directorate in Prizren, in cooperation with police officers from the General Directorate of Police in Prishtinë, have conducted a police operation.

During the implementation of the operation, three people were arrested suspected of the criminal offense of “Extortion.” knowing that during the attempt to arrest one of the suspects, he allegedly did not stop with the vehicle and during the escape he hit a 17-year-old girl, as well as an investigating police officer from the General Directorate of Police in Prishtina, according to which according to the evaluation of the doctors, they are out of danger for life.

During the attempt to arrest one of the suspects, the suspect did not stop with the vehicle and continued to flee. While fleeing, he hit a 17-year-old female pedestrian, who, according to doctors’ assessment, suffered injuries and is out of danger for life. While fleeing, the suspect also hit a police officer – an investigator from the General Directorate of Police in Prishtina – who suffered minor injuries. During the arrest of the main suspect, money was also found and seized, which is suspected to have been used for the purposes of simulation.

The police, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, are continuing investigations for the complete documentation of the case and other related circumstances.
