The Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, received on Tuesday the new head of the European Union Mission for the Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), Antero Lopes.

During the meeting, Haxhiu appreciated the role of EULEX in supporting Kosovo’s institutions in the field of the rule of law and in monitoring the justice system.

She also stressed the importance of the mission’s commitment issues of particular importance, including the treatment of cases of violence against women and domestic violence.

Finally, wishing Lopes success in his new task, Haxhiu expressed his belief that the cooperation will continue to contribute to strengthening the rule of law and the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
