A person is arrested in Prizren on suspicion of forgery of documents and fraud

According to the announcement of the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, the arrested person, owner and person in charge of a Center for Verification of Professional Abilities, is suspected of having issued about 1,679 professional diplomas since 2019, without developing the relevant theoretical and practical training, reports Klankosova.tv.

According to investigations, one diploma is suspected to have been sold for around 300 euros, while the total profit is suspected to be around 500 thousand euros.

The diplomas are suspected to have been used for employment inside and outside the country, and to fill criteria in procurement procedures.

During the control ordered by the Basic Court in Prizren, 333 diplomas, two computers, two USB drives, three stamps, a phone, documents with payment notes, 630 euros and nine business cards were seized.

The suspect is in detention for 48 hours, while the Prosecutor’s Office will decide on the further measure.
