In Prizren, a police action against usury took place today, reports the Gazeta e Prizren

Referring to the information, investigators of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Serious Crimes were engaged in the operation, while police actions are taking place in several locations in Prizren.

The case for the Gazeta e Prizren portal has been confirmed by the Police, where according to them the operation is related to suspicions of usury activities, while within its raids are being carried out on properties that are suspected to be related to the persons who are the subject of the investigations.

“Today, on August 18, 2026, after an investigation developed through the application of covert investigation measures, the investigators of the Regional Investigation Sector within the Regional Police Directorate in Prizren, in cooperation with police officers from the General Police Directorate in Prishtina, have conducted an operation During the operation, three suspects were arrested for the criminal offense “Extortion”. During the attempt to arrest one of the suspects, the suspect did not stop and continued to flee. During the escape, he hit a 17-year-old female pedestrian, who, according to the doctors, suffered injuries and is out of danger. during the escape, the suspect also hit a police officer – investigator from the General Directorate of Police in Pristina, who suffered minor injuries. After the actions taken by the police officers, he was detained and arrested. cooperation and coordination with the State Prosecutor, is undertaking other investigative actions related to the case, with the aim of fully documenting the criminal offense and other related circumstances.

This operation was also carried out thanks to the trust and cooperation of the citizens with the Kosovo Police.
