Muslim believers in Kosovo today celebrate Kurban Bayram.
The central manifestation of the Eid al-Fitr prayer was held in the Great Mosque in Pristina, while the sermon of this holiday is being held by the mufti of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava.
The holiday of Kurban Bayram comes after the end of the Hajj, which is one of the five pillars of the Islamic religion.
Part of this holiday is also the ritual of slaughtering the sacrifice which is a tradition from the messenger Ibrahim.
Slaughtering the sacrifice is an expression of devotion, sacrifice, sincerity and submission to God’s will.
