The village of Pojske near Zenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina is home to one of the country’s smallest mosques, measuring just 16 square meters and accommodating a maximum of 10 worshippers, reports Anadolu.
Built in 2023 to provide a place of worship for travelers passing through, the mosque stands out for its small size.
Located on the coast of the Poscanska River, the mosque attracts visitors not only for its small size, but also for the natural beauty that surrounds it.
The mosque, where people stop to pray and which can accommodate a maximum of 10 people, is one of the smallest mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The mosque is also a tourist attraction due to its size
Mirzet Skopljak, a believer in mosque, told Anadolu: “The mosque measures exactly 4 meters by 4 meters. The main purpose of building the mosque in these dimensions is so that passers-by can worship”.
Skopljak stated that people are extremely pleased to have a mosque in such a place and that the mosque has become more and more popular over time because of its size.
He pointed out that many people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina visit the mosque, with thousands coming. since its construction.
Skopljak also mentioned that people from outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Turkey, Germany, France and the US, come to see the mosque, adding that it has become an important tourist attraction in the region in addition to being a place of worship.
