The Israeli army on Sunday killed one Palestinian and wounded four others in an airstrike in the center of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, in the latest attacks despite the ceasefire in effect.
The body of the dead man and four wounded with various injuries arrived at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis after the Israeli attack that targeted a group of Palestinians, a medical source told Anadolu. an Israeli drone carried out at least one attack on this group, eyewitnesses said.
In a related development, local sources and witnesses reported that several Israeli military vehicles advanced on the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, at dawn on Sunday amid gunfire and artillery bombardment.
The sources added that the vehicles pushed the concrete blocks marking the so-called “Yellow Line” tens of meters further. west in the neighborhoods of Al-Raqab and Al-Fajm, effectively expanding the areas under Israeli military control.
Witnesses also said that an Israeli military bulldozer destroyed several houses in the area.
According to them, in these two areas some families have been relocated towards the central and western part of Khan Younis.
The “Yellow Line” refers to the border where Israeli forces have withdrawn inside Gaza as part of the second phase. of a plan announced by US President Donald Trump to end the war in the enclave. This line separates areas under full Israeli military control from areas where Palestinians are allowed.
The Israeli military has killed more than 72,000 people, mostly women and children, and wounded more than 172,000 during a two-year war in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
Despite a ceasefire that came into effect on October 10 2025, the Israeli army has continued its attacks, killing more than 870 people and injuring more than 2,540 others, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
