Ternava in the message for the holiday of Kurban Bayram calls for unity from political parties

The mufti of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava, has asked political parties to campaign with dignity and prudence, for the elections of June 7.

He said that the campaign should be far from the language of division and hatred.

In his message on the eve of the Kurban Bayram holiday, Tërnava said that the citizen should be respected above all political interests.

He added that regardless of the result, the country there is a need for unity.

“On the 7th of next month, our country faces a decisive moment for democracy, civic dignity and the future of the state, the day when the voice of the people determines the path we will follow, it is the day when the vote becomes strength, responsibility and speed to protect our future with courage, unity and vision. Therefore, I call on all political forces in the country to conduct the campaign with more prudence and dignity and respect, away from the language of division and hate, let him compete with ideas, vision and responsibility towards the homeland because the sovereign is the citizen and the will must be respected above any political interest. Regardless of the result, Kosovo needs unity,” he said
