Three Albanian parties unite in Montenegro, the Albanian Forum in Tuz officially announces

Saturday, May 30th 2026

In the hall of the Municipal Council of Tuzi, it was officially announced this Saturday, May 30, the merger of three Albanian political entities into a single entity, the Albanian Forum, a movement that was presented as the launch of a new political chapter for Albanians in Montenegro.

Present at this presentation were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Nik Gjeloshaj, together with his political allies, who presented the new political project and objectives of this union.

Albanian Forum representatives described this as a historic agreement, stressing that they owed this political union to future generations.

According to them, the cooperation so far in the form of a coalition has worked excellently, bringing strengthening of the Albanian representation both in the government of Montenegro and at the management and decision-making levels.

“For all Albanian citizens in Montenegro, this union has a significant meaning special. We have been functioning as different coalitions and very successfully. It is through this cooperation that we have achieved some of the most historic results that Albanians have had in Montenegro.
However, we have seen the need to go one step further and build a single political entity, not only for today, but also for future generations, as a guarantee for Albanian unity. This is the only Albanian political entity in Montenegro that represents Albanians in all areas where they live, as we are present in several municipalities and are the first political address of Albanians.
Our political responsibility and the will of the leaders was to create a strong Albanian political entity for the future, so that the Albanians in Montenegro are represented even better”, said Gjeloshaj.

Asked if Albanian politics should also unite, he answered:

“Absolutely. We as Albanians, wherever we are, often come to mind that we are not unique and we are not united. In fact, unfortunately, this has often been repeated over the years. But we have decided to prove otherwise.
We started in Tuz and we are conveying a message to all Albanians: no process can be done alone. Without unity, unification and a common strategy, it is much more difficult to achieve the objectives.
This also applies to Albania, especially today in the process of European integration. The more unique we are, the stronger our representation becomes and the faster the processes related to the European future of Albanians wherever they live.”
