US President Donald Trump participated in a working session with the leaders of the G7 and Ukraine in Evian, France, reports Anadolu.

French President Emmanuel Macron, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen were present at the meeting.

Leaders from Italy, Germany, Britain, Japan and Canada also participated in the meeting.

The discussion was closed to the media, but money to let the cameras go, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz presented Trump with a German national soccer jersey with “47” and “Trump” written on the back.

Later in the day, Trump is expected to attend a working lunch with representatives from Middle Eastern countries and another working session with leaders and “developing countries”.

Separately, Trump will hold bilateral talks with the sheikh of of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates.

According to NBC News, bilateral talks between Trump and Macron held earlier have been “a little tense,” an EU official said.

“Trump is as usual, sometimes nice and sometimes not so nice,” the official said.
