Kosovo Police has announced that it has arrested two people suspected of two criminal offences, that of misuse of official duty and falsification of documents.

According to law enforcement, the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, after several months of investigative work, according to PO “Properties in Prizren”, has carried out a temporary control and seizure order in the region of Pristina and Mitrovica, this order issued by the Basic Court Prizren – Department for Serious Crimes.

“Regarding the case, controls were carried out with the aim of securing evidence and testimonies, where two Kosovar male suspects were accompanied, who allegedly, in cooperation with each other, had managed to falsify the document-letter from Serbia of the victim who had died several decades earlier and by fictitiously presenting him as another person, they made the agreement of the procedure of the mediator to the mediator, and through this agreement for mediation with a request to the Directorate of Geodesy and Cadastre in the Municipality of Prizren have managed to alienate 18 properties/plots of about three 3.60ha located in a village in Prizren worth about 1.000.000.00 million euros,” the announcement states.

It is said that after the inspection, a lop-top, two telephones, 14,600.00 euros, as well as various documentation that can serve as evidence in further proceedings.
