The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, Timço Mucunski, announced that the European Commission within the framework of the Reform and Growth Instrument is making available 65.7 million euros for the country.
“The European Commission announced that it is making available 65.7 million euros for our country, which is the highest amount in the region, compared to 49 million euros for Albania and 44.2 million euros for Mali Black”, Mucunski wrote on social networks.
According to him, this is a clear confirmation of the government’s strong commitment to “reforms, fulfilling the obligations from the Growth Plan and implementing European values and standards at the domestic level”.
“At the same time, it is a recognition of the serious approach, institutional capacity and progress of the country’s reforms”, he added.
According to the official information published by the European Commission, the funds have been approved within the framework of the Reform and Growth Instrument, after a positive assessment of the reform steps implemented.
From the approved total of 65.7 million euros, 30.6 million euros will be transferred directly to the state budget, while the remaining funds will be made available for investment projects through the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
