Atletico Madrid is close to finalizing an agreement with Arsenal for the transfer of striker Julian Alvarez.

According to reports, the English club has submitted an offer that includes 50 million euros, as well as the card of striker Viktor Gyokeres. This formula is said to have convinced the managers of Atletico Madrid, who have given their consent to the agreement.

The Spanish media “El Chiringuito” writes that now everything depends on the approval of the two footballers, since neither Alvarez nor Gyokeres have yet reached personal agreements with the clubs where they are expected to transfer.

Meanwhile, Alvarez wanted to move to Barcelona. The Catalan club had offered 100 million euros for the Argentine, but Atletico Madrid immediately rejected that proposal.

As for Gyokere, it is not yet known if he is ready to leave Arsenal. The Swedish striker was one of the key figures of the team last season, contributing to winning the Premier League title and reaching the Champions League final.
