A person wanted by Interpol for serious theft is arrested in Gjakova

The Kosovo Police has arrested a person wanted with an international arrest warrant during an action carried out in the Gjakova region.

According to the announcement of the Police on Facebook, through the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, on 10.05.2026 at around 13:10, a Kosovar citizen with the initials H.M. was arrested.

He was wanted through Interpol, based on an international arrest warrant issued by the authorities. of the Republic of Albania, under the suspicion of involvement in the criminal offense of “serious theft”.

“After the arrest, by order of the Custodial Prosecutor, the suspect was sent to police custody for 48 hours, while further legal procedures will continue against him in coordination with the competent authorities.
