The Emergency Management Agency has appealed to citizens to be careful, as local storms with thunder, intense rain, hail and strong winds are warned.

AME has indicated the main risks and possible impacts:

• Local flash floods in areas with intense rainfall;

• Damage to objects, vehicles, infrastructure and agricultural crops, especially from hail and winds strong;

• Increased risk of starting fires as a result of atmospheric discharges.

• Obstacles in telecommunication systems.

• Damage to the electrical energy network and interruptions in the supply of electricity.

• High risk of lightning strikes, with possible consequences for people and animals.

• Stay in safe premises during the storm and avoid unnecessary movements;

• Do not shelter under tall trees or near metal objects and electric poles;

• Traffic caution: Adjust the speed and avoid roads or underpasses covered by water;

• Secure property: Remove or secure equipment and items on balconies and yards that may be damaged by wind or hail.
