Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on Wednesday demanded “justice” for Polish citizens after Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir published footage showing Israel’s treatment of activists detained after trying to reach the Gaza Strip by sea, reports Anadolu.
“You cannot treat Polish citizens this way who have committed no crime,” Sikorski wrote on the social platform. American X.
“In the democratic world we do not abuse or mock detained people,” he added.
“We demand justice for our citizens and consequences for you,” Sikorski said.
The statements came after footage released by Ben-Gvir showed activists detained, bound and forced to kneel after being detained by Israeli forces in international waters.
Global humanitarian flotilla Sumud said on Tuesday that all 50 ships in its convoy were seized by Israel.
