Tijjani Reijnders is expected to benefit a staggering amount from his transfer to Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia.
According to journalist Mike Verweij, the Dutch midfielder will earn around 100 million euros during the five years of his contract with the Saudi club. That works out to around €385,000 a week, a salary that puts Reijnders among the highest paid footballers in the Saudi league.
Reijnders, 28, will leave Manchester City just a year after his transfer from Milan. According to the latest reports, City has reached an agreement with Al-Qadsiah for an amount of around 52 million pounds, while the transfer is expected to be completed after medical tests.
The Dutchman’s first season at “Etihad” did not go according to expectations. He started the season as a regular starter, but then lost his place in the lineup and made just five Premier League starts during the second half of the season. In total, he played 50 games for City, scoring seven goals and donating eight assists.
Now, Reijnders is close to a new adventure in Saudi Arabia, where in addition to his transfer from Manchester City, he will secure an extremely lucrative contract.
