The Assembly of Kosovo has today approved the Law on Mandatory Health Care Insurance.
The Law on Insurance was approved with 80 votes in favor and none against.
Regarding the approval of the Law on Mandatory Health Care Insurance, the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, reacted.
“Today, in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, with 80 votes in favor and none against, it was voted in the second reading a of the most important reforms for the health sector. After many challenges, we now have the Law on mandatory health care insurance”, writes Vitia.
He said that this law enables equality in access to health, creates a basis for sustainable financing of the health system and offers greater financial protection for citizens.
“I thank the deputies for their support and contribution to the advancement of this important process for public health”, he writes.
