The 3rd Global Islamic Economy Summit will be held in Istanbul on June 3-6, bringing together global policy makers, central bank governors, investors, financial institutions, academics and industry representatives.
The four-day summit, organized by the “AlBaraka” Forum for Islamic Economy within the “AlBaraka Summits Türkiye”, will take place at the headquarters of “Halkbank” in the Financial Center of Istanbul.
This year’s event will be held under the theme “Capital in the Islamic Economy: Wealth Structuring for Sustainable Development”, focusing on ethical finance, sustainable development and the future of the Islamic economy and finance.
Sessions will address artificial intelligence, digital transformation, digital capital, financial innovation, Islamic fintech, sustainable liquidity ecosystems and entrepreneurship. youth, while Anaolli Agency (AA) will serve as the event’s global communications partner.
A keynote session, “Digital Capital and Financial Innovation: Technology, Governance and Shariah Integrity,” will examine the use of artificial intelligence in Islamic financial operations, including credit assessment, risk monitoring, automated compliance and Sharia-compliant asset tokenization.
The summit will host a special panel with ministers and central bank governors, moderated by Mahmoud Mohieldin, the UN special envoy for financing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The panel will be attended by Fatih Karahan, governor of the Central Bank of Turkey, Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour, governor of Bank Negara Malaysia and Yahya Jawdat Hafez Shunnar, governor of the Monetary Authority of Palestine.
Discussions are expected to cover financial stability frameworks, capital flow governance, sustainable liquidity ecosystems and economic sustainability. The summit will include sessions for young business leaders, entrepreneurs and digital creators, focusing on Islamic financial instruments, sustainable business models and value creation in the digital economy.
Several memorandums of understanding signing ceremonies are also planned to strengthen collaboration between academia, finance and industry.
